We provide everything you need to be a chicken farmer and experience raising newly-hatched baby chicks for two whole weeks. Then, return everything back and the chicks will continue to grow up on our local farm here in Sparta.

This is an awesome spring classroom project, an extra special Easter gift or just a really cool one-of-a-kind experience!

Participants will receive:
• Two live baby chicks
• Complete Housing (Brooder)
• Heat Lamp
• Feeder
• Waterer
• High-quality Chick Feed
• Bedding
• Chicken Farmer training at pick-up
• Loads of smiles & chick cuddles

We typically run three Rent-a-Chick sessions per year: two each spring (around Easter timeframe) and one session in the fall. When registration is open, we will post on our social media pages as well as here on our website.

How does signing up work? 

Once registration is open, simply email kallofarms@gmail.com with your name, address, phone number, pets present in your household, preferred session (when applicable) and a short description of why you think you should be selected. Those selected will be at our discretion and will receive a "Welcome Email" shortly thereafter. From there, you will sign up for a half hour, in person, Chick Education session, where you will pick up your two chicks, their temporary homes, feed, bedding, etc. The hardest part will be giving them back!
